A Panhandle native, Dr. Shari Medford returned to Amarillo in 2000. Prior to her return she completed her undergraduate work at Hendrix College in Arkansas and finished medical school at University or Arkansas College of Medicine. Dr. Medford's postdoctoral training included residency at the University of Oklahoma and fellowship training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at St.Jude's Research Hospital, LeBonheur Children's Hospital and the University of Tennessee.

Over the years Dr. Medford has received numerous awards, including the Physician Scientist Mentored Fellowship Award and the Harris D. Riley Award for Excellence in Pediatrics.

Dr. Medford enjoys spending time with her family: husband, Jeff and children Abbey and Erin.
